The talk is devoted to the important distinction between a QA engineer and a tester, and to why a motivated QA specialist who is engaged in the overall product quality is especially valuable to a project. The presentation will cover common mistakes that gradually reduce QA to the role of a “post-factum checker”: excluding them from the early stages of development, limiting their understanding of the product and the business, making communication with developers more difficult, and failing to invest in the stability of the test environment.
